About Us

Two years before the giant stock market crash that led to the Great Depression, James R. Pierce decided to open up a new plumbing company in Oakland. During the next few years of turbulence and difficulty the company cut its teeth and took its first steps toward becoming a leading Bay Area Plumbing Contractor. Survival during those early years required a genuine dedication to quality and a job well done. 

J.R. Pierce Plumbing specializes in residential; light commercial projects.  We count our most valuable assets as our employees and our reputation for doing good work at a fair price.

James R. Pierce Establishes J.R. Pierce Plumbing Company

James E. Pierce(Jimmy) comes to work for his father.

William Pierce (Bill) comes onboard with his father and brother.

James R. Pierce retires.

Jimmy and Bill moved the office to the current San Leandro location.
Richard Pierce the eldest son of Bill, comes to work becoming a plumber.

Jimmy Pierce retires.

William Pierce retires, Richard Pierce becomes the current Owner/President.
